View full detailsFounded in 1998 by Tohru Nogami, Samurai Jeans has become of the biggest names within the denim industry, thanks to their complete commitment to creating some of the most interesting fabrics available, cut and sewn with incredible Japanese craftsmanship that focused heavily on unique, elaborate detailing. Samurai Jeans have an elite brand identity, directly inspired by a famous duel that took place in 1619 on the island of Miyajima between two samurai, Musashi and Kojiro - each pair of Samurai Jeans features a leather patch depicting this duel, and all Samurai denim is woven with silver lamé to reflect the shimmer of a samurai's blade.
Tohru Nogami created Samurai Jeans knowing that he was entering an already established market, so he started by making heavyweight 15oz jeans, which were unheard of at the time, and set himself apart from the pack. Since then Samurai has made heavyweight jeans part of their core offerings, with 17oz, 19oz, and 21oz denims becoming some of their most popular fabrics. Samurai's strength lies in their unmatched variety of uniquely textured denims, in a variety of weights, and fits, featuring loads of impressive details that will excite new and veteran denim nerds alike.
Samurai Jeans runs small, so we suggest sizing up.
