Wesco's MP1339 last runs slightly large, so we recommend sizing down one half size from your properly measured Brannock size, or standard US sneaker size. If you have a wide foot, consider going true to size. Each boot also includes a leather footbed, which can be removed to provide more volume or to accomodate a different insole.

To celebrate 37 years in business, we have produced three new Engineer Boot makeups in collaboration with Wesco Boots, featuring their Mister Lou in three new Horween Chromexcel leathers. Colvados, Timber, and Havana join our lineup of Wesco Boots to celebrate our anniversary!

Chromexcel is a hot-stuffed combination tanned leather that goes through a lengthy tanning process at Horween's facility in Chicago. The end product is a soft, supple, and flexible hide packed full of oils, which gives Chromexcel the excellent pullup that it is known for - when the leather is flexed or bent, the oils are displaced and beautiful tonal highs and lows become visible. CXL only gets better with age, and taking care of the leather is as simple as it gets. Frequent brushing will blend scuffs and bring wicked patina, while the inherent oils in the hide keep it from drying out quickly. 

Wesco's "Mister Lou" Engineer Boots are named after Mister Lou, one of Wesco's owner's dogs, who by all accounts was a very sweet pup. The Mister Lou is Wesco's modernized take on the classic American engineer boot, so the usual bulbous toebox and wide boot shaft have both had their volume reduced. The almond toe shape gives the Mister Lou a sleeker silhouette than more traditional engineer boots, but the classic silhouette has not been sacrificed - we have retained the height of the usual logger heel, and the lower profile toebox actually lends itself to a more vintage, less-moto boot style. Built upon Wesco's MP1339 last, these are finished with brass hardware, natural leather midsoles, Wesco SuperGrip half-soles and heels, vintage double and triple stitched uppers, and of course, traditional stitchdown construction that can be resoled as needed.
