SGA2301 Remnant Yarn Socks Navy
During the production of high quality Japanese selvedge denim fabric, leftover waste yarn is inevitably created. These yarns are unable to be reused for the selvedge denim these mills specialize in producing, so this yarn is disposed of more often than not. The Strike Gold's Remnant Yarn Socks are a project intended to both reduce waste produced by our specialized industry, as well as create something unique and interesting from the remnants of jean production. As such these socks appeal to both the denim enthusiast as well as the environmentalist - for a lot of us, we fall into both categories and buying high quality natural fabrics instead of mass produced synthetics appeals to both minds. The leftover yarn these socks are crafted from is much thicker than your average yarn for use in Japanese denim, and is spun in a Japanese factory from high quality cotton. The end result is a textured sock with a thick, soft hand due to the uneven yarns.
