SC42009A 1947 12oz Selvedge Denim Type II Slim Straight
Sugar Cane's 1947 model denim is based off of post-WWII American selvedge denim jeans from the latter half of the 1940's. Woven from a versatile, lightweight 12oz Japanese selvedge denim, this is a fabric that very accurately represents the reality of true vintage jeans, which were almost always thinner than 14oz, featured versatile fitting top blocks that made the cuts more universal, and inherently offered tons of satisfying natural texture as a result of the shuttle looms and natural fibers. Sugar Cane's 1947 SC42009A jeans inherit all of that goodness, and offer it up in the brand's Type II Slim Straight cut, with a slim leg, very little taper, and a comfortable mid rise. The denim itself is lightweight, yet rigid, and offers a great deal of natural, vertical texture with a subtle nature that isn't quite as in-your-face as some of our other denim offerings, so it is sure to offer some pleasing vintage fades with time.
