ATTN US CUSTOMERS

Recent changes to U.S. trade policy have removed the de minimis exemption for imports. As a result, all U.S. orders — regardless of value — are now subject to duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees.

What This Means for You

  • All duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the customer and are collected by U.S. Customs upon delivery.

  • Brooklyn Clothing Co. does not collect or control these fees, and therefore cannot refund or reimburse any charges applied by U.S. Customs.

  • While we continue to cover the cost of shipping from Canada, we cannot absorb additional government-imposed tariffs.

  • All products made in North America are exempt from these U.S. tariffs under the CUSMA trade agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the USA.

  • Shipping times may vary due to customs processing and delays beyond our control.

Customs & Documentation

  • Every order ships with complete customs documentation, including HS codes and country of origin details.

  • Products made in North America are exempt from U.S. tariffs due to the CUSMA agreement, and will not incur duties tied to these new rules.

  • Shipments under $2,500 USD may still be subject to duties if the item was manufactured outside of North America, but generally will not require formal entry.

  • Shipments $2,500 USD and above may require a U.S. importer identification number (EIN or SSN).

  • Duties, taxes, and tariff rates vary depending on the item type and the country where it was manufactured.
