This piece incorporates design elements from vintage 1930s French long-point shirts, sewn from a Japanese jacquard stripe that itself is a faithful reproduction of a vintage shirting fabric swatch, taken from a 1907 French archival document. Prequel carefully crafts these fabrics down to the tiniest detail in order to accurately recreate the feeling of vintage shirting fabrics and their unique nature. This fabric is carefully woven on a double beam jacquard loom, giving it depth and a three-dimensional feel which really elevates the pattern, which is then tailored into a classic button up shirt. Prequel's shirting is very classic, extremely high quality, and thoughtfully crafted with attention to detail.
