This t-shirt uses Flat Head's signature "THC series" heavyweight loopwheeled t-shirts as the base for a very unique Special Edition version, heavily inspired by the embroidered designs on vintage Sukajan souvenir jackets. Originally popularized by youth and the working class in post-WWII Japan, these Sukajan jackets were originally modeled after American varsity jackets, but feature satin fabrics and heavily detailed embroidered designs on their backs and chests, and have since long been established as icons of Japanese streetwear and mainstream global fashion. By incorporating intricate foam printing techniques, Flat Head has successfully created a raised three-dimensional print that looks and feels like real embroidery. Both the texture and the design faithfully reproduce the feel of a souvenir jacket, showcasing a perched eagle with its wings outstretched, a popular Sukajan design. 

The Flat Head's signature t-shirts are made for durability, sewn from a dense cotton jersey woven on vintage 1960s loopwheel machines, and constructed with double and triple-needle stitching to ensure longevity. "Three needles, one removed." This is Flat Head's unique method for sewing t-shirts, a distinctive style of stitch that reinforces the neck and prevents it from stretching over time by triple-stitching the neck with two heavy cotton stitches in the rib, and one in the jersey. This technique moves the tension away from the ribbed neck and into the stitching, helping to prevent neck stretch.
