FN-OJ-D801 50's Hickory Jacket
Modeled after classic Type II denim jackets from the 1950s, this hickory stripe jacket exudes vintage Americana through both its fabric as well as its styling. Known as a traditional workwear fabric, Flat Head's original indigo-dyed hickory is inspired by authentic 1940s hickory cloths, weighing in at a comfortable 10oz weight and woven with high-density weft threads to achieve a fabric that is both lightweight, yet firm.
The jacket itself features a classic 50s cut, with a shorter, boxier body, twin chest pockets, and all the era-appropriate details: custom iron buttons and copper rivets, a branded cowhide leather patch, front pleats, waist size adjuster buttons, and double-needle chainstitch construction. Flat Head has taken the time to ensure all the materials used in this jacket are accurate to the materials that would have been used at the time, giving this piece a true air of vintage authenticity.
