These card cases are made from Shell Cordovan horsehide, the "diamond of leathers." Cordovan is highly prized for its luxurious sheen and extreme durability, and has long been a top choice for footwear and accessories. The exterior, bottom gusset, and interior are crafted from a single piece of cordovan leather, requiring a larger, more expensive piece of hide. Every part of the construction process is hand stitched, allowing for design details that would not be possible with machine stitching, such as the folded gussets. Finished with a smooth, lightweight pigskin to reinforce the bill compartment, dyed in a contrasting shade.
