The Flat Head's 18oz Japanese selvedge denim is woven with thick weft threads, to give the fabric a robust, stiff hand and that characteristic heavyweight selvedge denim feel. The thick, irregular yarns also grant a great deal of texture to this fabric, with vertical slub and nep layered within the classic twill weave. Flat Head uses the term "Doshaburi," or "torrential downpour," to refer to the nature of this vertical texture, because the vertical slub really does begin to look like a heavy rainstorm as it fades out more quickly than the smoother parts of the fabric do. Prior to weaving, these threads are traditionally rope-dyed in indigo by Japanese artisans, imbuing the fibers with deep shades of indigo blue that will fade out into beautiful light shades through wearing and washing the jeans. 

FN-8005, Flat Head's classic Regular Straight fit, offers a timeless silhouette with a classic straight leg, a comfortable top block without too much bulk, and a full straight leg without any taper. This fit is very reminiscent of vintage classic and wide straight leg jeans from the 1950s and 60s, and should fit all body types.
