0811 15.5oz Slub-nep Selvedge Denim Loose Fit One Wash Indigo
Omoto's 15.5oz Japanese selvedge denim is a rough, slubby fabric that incorporates heavy, textured long-staple slub yarns in the warp, alongside recycled cotton nep yarns in the weft - a combination that is sure to result in a satisfying aging process with excellent vertical fading potential. Compared to their flagship 13.5oz selvedge denim, Omoto's 15.5oz denim weighs in slightly heavier, with a rougher, slubbier texture, and a deeper, darker indigo colour.
Early 20th century Toyoda looms are employed to produce this unique slubby fabric. These were some of the very first shuttle looms produced in Japan, serving as the foundation and pioneer of Japan's world renowned denim industry. The warp is woven at extremely low tension to amplify the inherent texture found in the slubby warp yarns and neppy weft yarns, creating a fabric that is satisfying to both wear and break-in, with some excellent texture that will only become better with wear.
Inspired by vintage silhouettes and built with room for comfort and movement, Omoto's Loose Fit offers a high rise with a loose straight leg, making for a wide silhouette and tons of comfort.
