Crescent Down Works' Down Shirt is an outstanding layering piece, performing very well as a midlayer in colder climates, or as a standalone jacket in milder climates or during the shoulder seasons. It's filled with 5.5 oz of 700-fill down, so it is very functional, without being a seriously insulated winter jacket.
This version is made with a densely-woven water-resistant cotton/nylon blend shell that holds up well against unexpected weather. Despite its durable, weather-resistant nature, it's still quite comfortable and has a nice subtle texture.
