By carefully studying vintage military shirts, Kato have infused some of the essential DNA of the originals into their quintessential "Brace" workshirt. For this season, The Brace has been sewn from a soft, textured plaid, a departure from the smooth and dense fabrics that are normally incorporated into Kato's workshirt models.

These loosely woven plaids weigh in at 9oz, giving them a versatile weight that performs excellently for layering in all sorts of climates, and are left unbrushed to showcase the natural softness and texture of cotton; exacerbated through twisting the yarns prior to weaving, giving the plaid its deep and complex texture reminiscent of English woolen tweeds. Cut with a fuller body than their Ripper buttonup shirts, The Brace is finished with two chest pockets and constructed with triple-needle chainstitch construction.
