Sugar Cane's 1962 Model denim jacket is a faithful reproduction of Type III jackets from that era; a style which has long since become a staple piece of menswear, worn by numerous icons across the decades, seen in countless films, and absolutely cemented as a piece of Americana. This style of denim jacket is the evolution of the boxier Type II, with a slightly trimmer and longer body, angled chest pockets to replace the larger, lower, and squarer pockets of the predecessor, and V-shaped front seams instead of knife pleats. Cut from a Sugar Cane original 14.25oz Japanese selvedge denim, developed as a reproduction of vintage 14oz selvedge denims from the 1960s and earlier.
