SP108S 45th Anniversary "Ai-Kyoku" 16oz Selvedge Denim Regular Straight One Wash
This limited 45th Anniversary release from Studio D'Artisan celebrates the craftsmanship of Japanese artisans, by showcasing the extent to which beautiful Japanese textures can be taken. This denim pushes the weaving capabilities of the shuttle looms to their limit by combining two seperate, heavily textured denims together, into one very special fabric. The warp yarns are woven with a blend of heavy no. 6 slub yarns and nep yarns, which are then coiled and hand-dyed in indigo using Japan's traditional "kasezome" dyeing methods. Those warp yarns are then matched with a weft woven of thick, textured no. 5 slub yarns, creating unique, distinctive slub texture and a rough, textured hand that weighs in at a comfortable yet substantial 16 oz. Featuring SDA's -08 Regular Straight cut, and custom 45th Anniversary "Ai-Kyoku" pocket bags & leather patch.
