SD-108 15oz Relaxed Taper Selvedge Denim Indigo

Studio D'Artisan's flagship selvedge denim, based on and intended to reproduce vintage denim, weighs in at 15oz, loosely woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan. Like most Japanese selvedge it incorporates a bleached weft and rope-dyed indigo warp, with an ideal four-season weight that offers loosely-woven breathability and plenty of vintage texture, also due to the loose weave. With this in mind, we are confident in saying SDA is more than successful in their venture to reproduce vintage denim weaves, and believe they offer some of the most authentic and well-made selvedge denim on the market today. This fabric is their flagship core denim for good reason - it simply performs perfectly as an everyday jean with its balanced weight, classic texture, and indigo rope-dye, providing comfort, a nice textured hand, and plenty of fade potential. 

This is SD-108, featuring D'Artisan's "08" relaxed tapered fit. One of our most successful fits, SDA's relaxed taper features a high rise, roomy hip and thigh, and a taper from the lower thigh to the leg opening. Perfect for guys who dislike a loose leg opening but either require or desire a loose top block, this is our most successful SDA cut, and fits most everyone quite well. With a leg opening that is just wide enough to look great with boots, this is an ideal cut for those of you who like a taper. SD-108 features branded enamel buttons and branded rivets, a deerskin leather patch, and a blueline selvedge ID.
