Studio D'Artisan's reproduction of Lee's classic 1950s Stormrider jacket is one of the best on the market, built to vintage specifications with SDA's outstanding attention to detail. Crafted from Studio D'Artisan's original 14oz left-hand twill Japanese selvedge denim, indigo rope-dyed to a deep indigo hue and rinsed for shrinkage, which also brings out the vintage texture in the fabric, giving it a deadstock feel. The Stormrider comes from an era in which denim jackets were still a workwear staple, and as such they were sometimes produced with wool blanket linings to improve their practicality in cold weather.

Studio D'Artisan's reproduction features a classic fit with a slightly longer length than the originals, a wool blanket lined interior, rounded chest pockets, black laurel buttons, and traditional chainstitch construction done with classic orange toned thread.
