Studio D'Artisan's flagship selvedge denim, based on and intended to reproduce vintage denim, weighs in at 15oz, loosely woven on vintage shuttle looms in Japan. Like most Japanese selvedge it incorporates a bleached weft and rope-dyed indigo warp, with an ideal four-season weight that offers loosely-woven breathability and plenty of vintage texture, also due to the loose weave. With this in mind, we are confident in saying SDA is more than successful in their venture to reproduce vintage denim weaves, and believe they offer some of the most authentic and well-made selvedge denim on the market today. This fabric is their flagship core denim for good reason - it simply performs perfectly as an everyday jean with its balanced weight, classic texture, and indigo rope-dye, providing comfort, a nice textured hand, and plenty of fade potential. 

With a roomier fit and a higher rise than the 01, Studio D'Artisan's 02 Loose Straight offers a fuller silhouette than their flagship 01 Regular Straight, offering a wider shape with excellent comfort. These jeans are cut with a high rise, a loose top block and leg, and a straight leg without any taper, creating a vintage workwear silhouette that is cemented by the cinch back waist detail. Finished with branded enamel-coated buttons, branded rivets, a deerskin leather patch, and a blueline selvedge ID.
