Studio D'artisan's "History Denim" is a reproduction of America in the 1950s. Jeans around this time made society "dissatisfied" as denim had become a symbol of youthful rebellion. As D'Artisan has based this jean on the historical background of the 1950's, it reproduces the unique oxidative Kusumi of that time, and the colour fading on this denim is a historical reproduction of faded 1950's jeans. The 12.5oz Japanese selvedge fabric is offered in a Regular Straight fit that would have been the ubiquitous fit of the 1950's, comfortable throughout the entirety of the jean, a truly outstanding cut that will never go out of style.

The gold rush that took place in California, USA in the middle of the 19th century drew countless people from various countries to the west coast of the United States as immigrants, dreaming of getting rich. Due to the hard work of gold mining, standard trousers of the time could not hold up, and workers were looking for workwear that could withstand hard work. In 1873, canvas fabric was used to create trousers reinforced with metal rivets, the beginning of the history of "jeans." Jeans evolved with American history into a worker's medal, a symbol of rebels, a symbol of freedom, and fashion.

We recommend to size up once for your waist size. Please keep in mind that the pocket arctuates pictured are not present on our jeans, they are only available on the pairs in Japan, and are not offered internationally by Studio D'Artisan.
