S211AX features Samurai's 18oz slubby natural indigo selvedge denim, offering tons of slubby and neppy texture within an incredibly deep indigo blue fabric, due to the heavy natural indigo dye. "Ai-Benkei" is the product of merging two of Samurai's best original fabrics; their natural indigo Japanese cotton "Ai-Plus" with seriously slubby and rough "Benkei" yarns, resulting in a denim that offers Benkei's unmatched texture combined with natural indigo dye and Japanese cotton. "Ai-Benkei" is woven on vintage shuttle looms using hand-dyed natural indigo yarns, resulting in a breathtaking varied deep indigo colour. This model shares the same fit as Samurai's usual "Benkei" releases, a relaxed taper with a high rise, roomy top block, and a taper from the knee to hem.
