A gilet is a classically styled vest with the look of a waistcoat or suit jacket, were an essential staple for vintage tailoring, and have been masterfully reproduced by Orgueil in some outstanding fabrics that appeal to the modern fashion world without straying from authenticity. 

This gilet is crafted with a Japanese indigo-dyed dobby stripe fabric, which exudes vintage tailoring more than most other fabric options would. Dobby stripe is a classic fabric which saw plenty of wear in the late 19th and early-mid 20th century, before plainer tailoring fabrics took over handily. It features two flap closure waist pockets, a rear belted size adjuster, and black corozo nut buttons.
