Pure Blue Japan's 14oz rough and textured "XX" Japanese selvedge denim can be described as their flagship offering, as this midweight fabric has been a PBJ staple for years now. It has a strong (but not overwhelming) texture due to the loosely woven irregular yarns, providing the denim with plenty of slub and nep. This is a versatile weight that is textured and wearable off the shelf, but still substantial enough to drape and fade like a heavy denim.
XX-005 uses PBJ's 005 Slim Straight, featuring a slim leg with a snug top block, a classic straight leg, and a mid rise. This makes for a very classic pair of jeans that looks great with shoes, boots, and sneakers, and gives a more fitted look up top.
