SC11953SW 14.25oz Denim Jacket 1953 Aged Model
Sugar Cane's 1953 Model denim jacket is a faithful reproduction of Type II jackets from that era; a classic staple of vintage men's heritage wear, and a symbol of classic masculinity as showcased by icons such as Martin Sheen in Badlands. The Type II was the natural evolution of the original Type I ranch blouse, and modified that original style into something more marketable and versatile for the average person; something a bit more versatile and casual, and less of a true piece of workwear. It offers a relaxed, boxy body shape with two large centered chest pockets, front knife pleats, and size adjuster tabs on each hip. Cut from a Sugar Cane original 14.25oz Japanese selvedge denim, developed as a reproduction of vintage 14oz selvedge denims from the 1960s and earlier.
This is an "aged" version of Sugar Cane's Type II denim jacket, an authentic reproduction of a real, faded vintage jacket.
