These are The Flat Head's horsehide service shoes, which feature a design based off of classic military derby shoes that combine formality and practicality; offering a shoe with the function and shape of a service boot, but with a lower derby profile that allows them to be easily dressed up when needed. Constructed from a high quality veg-tanned horsehide, specifically, horsefront, which comes from the neck portion of the hide. It is tanned in Italy, and finished in Japan. Horsefront is known for its finer texture, so you get the benefits of a heavyweight horsehide and its excellent ageing properties in a tannage that is more easily dressed up. 

Finished with Vibram 700 half soles, stamped insoles, and rounded, cushioned edges at the ankle, and made with traditional resoleable Goodyear welt construction in Japan. Available in black and brown horsehide.
