Buzz Rickson's vintage-style crewneck sweatshirts are made with a 13 oz cotton terry fabric woven on vintage 1920's four-needle loopwheel machines. These are purposely made to reproduce the greatness of vintage loopwheeled sweatshirts through the fit, fabric, and details, so as such they are finished with "V" stitching under the front of the ribbed collar, with a ribbed hem and cuffs. 

Four-needle loopwheelers are old-school machines that knit fabric into a perfect tube, with each loom only capable of making one set diameter (so, one size) at a time. These were used to create and originally manufacture the vintage sportswear. Since loopwheeled fabrics are woven with zero-tension, they are softer and more durable, wearing and washing much better over time, so that they end up lasting a long time without losing their fit or feel.
