Weekender Jacket Indigo Sashiko

Dehen's Weekender Jacket is a perfect casual everyday piece of outerwear, featuring a very handsome combination of details and fit inspired by military bomber and workwear jackets. It features a classic fit with a slightly shorter length than modern cuts, and is finished with welted snap closure handwarmer pockets, tonal satin lining, an interior gun pocket, and ribbed worsted wool cuffs and waistband. 

This is a seriously special piece from Dehen, made from an indigo-dyed 100% cotton Japanese sashiko fabric, with absurd amounts of texture, weighing in at 12 ounces. These sashiko cloths are hands-down one of the most beautiful fabrics Japan is known for, and offers just as much history as it does style and fading potential. This sashiko is very deeply indigo dyed, and is sure to fade with wear. When it does fade, you will see tons of shades of blue and plenty of interesting variation, as the heavily textured fabric holds onto indigo well in certain areas, whereas other parts of the fabric will fade quickly. 

Please be aware this indigo-dyed fabric will bleed noticeably while it is still relatively new - this will slow down/eventually stop through wear and wash.
