PER-EX-019-ID 15oz Extra Slub Relax Taper Indigo x Persimmon

Pure Blue Japan's 15oz "Extra Slub" denim is woven from custom-developed PBJ extra slubby yarns, featuring superior texture when compared to conventional slubby yarns, which results in an outstandingly slubby pair of jeans. This denim showcases a lot of uneven vertical slub, often called "rain texture" thanks to the stripe-like vertical slub, which will fade uniquely in contrast to the flatter, less-slubby sections of the denim. "PER-EX" is a version of PBJ's 15oz Extra Slubby denim that features a reddish-brown weft, as it has been dyed with persimmon tannins, a traditional Japanese natural-dye techinique known as "Kakishibu." This leaves the outside of the jeans with a somewhat navy or purple hue, due to the interwoven indigo and persimmon dyed yarns.

These jeans are cut in Pure Blue Japan's "019" Relaxed Tapered fit, which has become renowned across the raw denim subculture for simply being one of the best overall fits available from any brand. This cut features a deep rise and a moderately generous thigh, which then tapers down from the knee to the hem for a cleaner silhouette. These jeans are rinsed to remove the majority of shrinkage.
