BR16031 William Gibson Collection Type BLACK M-65 Liner
by Buzz Rickson
$599.00 CAD
Buzz Rickson's collaborative collection with Canadian Science-Fiction author William Gibson dates back to 2003. In Gibson's "Pattern Recognition", the main character wears a black Buzz Rickson MA-1 jacket, a piece which, at the time, had never actually been produced. Gibson had seen the brand both in Japan and internationally at a time when it was still very niche, and began wearing it. After writing about the Black MA-1, he was later contacted by Buzz Rickson who were confused by the requests they had been getting, about a jacket they had never made. This led to the production and sale of the black MA-1, and more than 20 years later, the collection is stronger than ever.
These liner jackets are designed to combine with an M-65 field jacket for improved weather resistance, but also work great on their own. These are designed and finished to be worn as standalone jackets if desired, featuring patch pockets, a zippered front, and buttons to fasten the straps to.
