Drawing inspiration from painter pants of the 1960s, A Vontade has taken a familiar utilitarian silhouette and reworked it with the thoughtful fabric development and meticulous construction that Japanese manufacturing is renowned for.

These pants are crafted from a 100% cotton high-density duck canvas, inspired by plain-weave military textiles from the same era. Unlike traditional duck canvas, which can often feel rigid and require a lengthy break-in, this specially developed fabric has a remarkably supple hand with a subtle natural sheen, offering exceptional comfort without sacrificing the durability and character expected from classic workwear.

The construction stays true to its vintage roots while introducing a number of considered updates. The double-knee reinforcement is cleverly integrated into the side pockets, while the tool pockets and utility details have been repositioned for a cleaner, more functional design.

Cut with a deep rise and generous wide-leg silhouette, the pants maintain a relaxed, full shape from the thigh through to the hem. A zip fly with snap-button closure completes the design, balancing traditional workwear functionality with a more contemporary fit.
