SC42649 Fiction Romance 8oz Indigo Stripe Work Pant
Inspired by vintage French workwear, both this garment and the fabric it is sewn from are a testament to Sugar Cane's incredible ability to accurately reproduce the "vintage feel" of an era, all while upping the construction quality and slightly modernizing the fit for today's world. Weighing in at 8oz, this Japanese indigo stripe is derived from vintage work pants, with a mix of off-white and indigo-dyed cotton threads coming together to create a classic indigo stripe with a dry, nicely textured hand.
This double-knee pant style is based on dungarees, which were common in the late 1940s to early 1950s and feature a loose fit with a slight taper below the knee. Only the knee is double-layered, so that the leg does not become too bulky, but the extra layer still provides extra durability where it's most needed. The double knee is also made with a drainage opening at the bottom, so that they are eays to wash and do not collect water or dirt inside the patch. They are also built with asymmetrical tool pockets on both sides, including a hammer loop.
