Knit for FAIZ in Japan, these 100% merino wool sweaters are rooted in Yamagata's kintwear traditions, which date back to the 1950s - each piece is spun on vintage Toyoda knitting machines to a precise gauge, and hand-linked by a single craftsman, ensuring these to be long-lasting garments with an aire of quality and refinement. 

The Mariner is a classic crewneck sweater knit with 100% Rocky Mountain Merino Wool, shorne from sheep that live in the harsh, high-altitude climate of the Rockies, a tough environment that makes this wool both durable and luxurious. It is virtually itch-free and resists pilling, making for a very hard-wearing and long-lasting sweater. The wool is knit into a 5-gauge rib knit with a structured crewneck collar and thumb holes in the cuffs, with every single panel being carefully hand-linked stitch-by-stitch, so that the seams stay flat and refined. The final result is a well-fitting shape that moves naturally with the body, making for an extremely comfortable sweater.
