Service Boot 2030 Annonay Vocalau Warm Brown French Calf

All our Viberg Service Boots are on a single E width, we suggest sizing down one full size from your standard sneaker size or brannock measurement. Consider a half size down if you have wide feet.

Viberg's Service Boot is directly based on their original model, first produced in 1931. A similar pattern was also used by multiple nations as a standard issue military boot during WWII, however Viberg's quintessential Service Boot is modeled after the Canadian military's WWII Service Boot pattern.

A first for us here in the shop, this makeup features a purely outstanding French boxcalf from Tannerie d'Annonay, available in Nero Black and Warm Brown. Located in their namesake of Annonay, France, the tanning industry itself is the heart of Annonay, with a calfskin tanning tradition going back hundreds of years, all the way back to the 12th century. And with Tannerie d'Annonay themselves producing boxcalf since 1838, you could say that they know what they are doing when it comes to calf.

Tanneri d'Annonay produces world-class calfskins of many different types, all of which are the best-of-the-best and of which many are intended for some of the world's best footwear, now including Viberg. This makeup features their Vocalau French Calf, a full-grain calfskin with a silky boxcalf hand and a smooth, consistent natural grain and glossy finish made specifically for very high-quality footwear. The speedhooks and polishable glossy finish result in a sophisticated 2030 makeup that can be easily dressed up for not just the office, but even semi-formal events courtesy of Annonay's incredible calfskin. That said, these are still a pair of Viberg Service Boots and can be put through their paces with no qualms if desired. While calfskin is normally a dressier leather relative to some of our other options, the high-quality full-grain nature of this Vocalau hide means durability is of no concern.
