Crissman Overshirt Black/Natural Herringbone Wool
When you are a family-owned brand with over a century of history, with a small factory staffed by a close, long-standing team, while knitting such intricate wool garments, it can be very, very tough top add something new to a proven collection. The Crissman Overshirt is proof of quality over quantity - with such consistent product, Dehen knew that any new creations had to provide the same functionality and consistency found in the rest of their collection, while filling new roles that would set it apart from their sweaters and jackets. With limited production capacity the team must be extremely picky as to what they spend their time crafting, and so they took their time to ensure any new additions to the line must be perfect.
Not only does the Crissman employ Dehen's collective centuries of expertise in the wools and knits used for the shirts, but it follows Dehen's ethos exactly in it's styling and functionality. The Crissman is the most versatile shirt of it's kind, the king amongst overshirts. Dehen chooses year-round fabrics that you will reach for consistently and allow them to perform excellently as light-midweight jackets for the majority of the year, while they perform double-duty as heavy shirts in the winter, when a heavier coat may be needed. Ultimately, these are magic for layering due to their weight and versatility, allowing the Crissman to slot in as a layer regardless of the rest of your outfit. However, the functionality doesn't stop there! The Crissman features two buttoned chest pockets and two large welted handwarmer pockets, and is finished with horn buttons, a throat snap, and a soft tan cotton lining in the body, with one final pocket in interior.
We are estatic to recieve two unique, seasonal colourways in the Crissman, one of our absolute favourite core products: Hunter Wool Tweed, and a Black/Natural Herringbone. In our opinion, the slight texture in these weaves bring out the best of the Crissman. This Herringbone features a strong chevron weave throughout, highlighted with the contrasting Black and Natural wool.
