The Brace Shirt Stretch Oxford Sandstone
By carefully studying vintage military shirts, Kato have infused some of the essential “DNA” of the originals into their quintessential workshirt. Being true to Kato form, this piece is intended to be as comfortable as it is tough, so it has been sewn with a 98% cotton, 2% poly fabric that has a bit of give where it is needed.
This fabric has been pigment dyed using the garment dying method, which requires dyeing the pieces after they have already been cut & sewn. This creates the aged look of the vintage military shirts that are treasured by collectors. This is because garment dyeing simply produces a superior dye process, with greater depth of colour and a vintage appearace around the seams, while also granting a soft hand to the fabric and removing all shrinkage.
