Samurai continues their hard-hitting onslaught of incredible flannel work shirts for F/W22 with a heavyweight unbrushed twill crafted from proprietary rope-dyed indigo heavy flannel fabric, dyed by hand in Japan. The fabric is a heavy twill flannel check that combines rope dyed indigo yarns normally used for denim, which gives an idea of the weight, while the coloured yarns are reactive dyed and will shed colour in a similar manner. Through wear, the indigo will shed and the white cores of the rope-dyed yarns will show through, so you can look forward to this shirt imporving with age just as a pair of jeans do. The shades of colour throghout the flannel check will combine with the changes in the indigo thread to create a very attractive aging effect, as the reactive dyed threads are also designed to age wonderfully.

The cut and pattern of this shirt are inspired by vintage workwear, featuring twin flat buttoned chest pockets, elbow patches, and a clean, well fitting silhouette. The collar, cuffs, and placket are finished with navy seam tape, and the garment is completed with a set of unique, proprietary indigo dyed nut buttons, all sewn up and overbuilt with robust winding triple-stitch seams and triple-chainstitch side seams with runoff.
