SWCPS22 Herringbone Loofah Shirt Oatmeal
The Loofah Shirt is Samurai's take on a long-sleeved military style coverall shirt, able to be worn as both a work shirt or an overshirt, featuring a "loofah" style collar, two "prison" style chest pockets, a single standard buttoned chest pocket, aluminum cat's eye buttons, and Samurai labels, all sewn up in a robust, proprietary 13oz herringbone denim (indigo, black, or oatmeal) from Samurai Work Clothes. The denim has grey nep thread woven into the weft of the fabric, allowing the neppy texture to pop through the warp and give the herringbone weave even more texture. Like all SWC products, this is seriously overbuilt and made to stand up to real wear, and as such is crafted from durable fabric and constructed with robust winding stitching.
The "loofah" or "coassack" collar, prison pockets, cat's eye buttons, and red accent stitching give this piece some serious vintage workwear appeal, and even without consideration for the inspiration behind the details, this is a seriously unique shirt that is visibly high quality. This version of the Loofah Shirt in Oatmeal features the natural, undeyed herringbone denim, and will age very well once put through its paces. Do your best to keep it clean, or embrace the workwear aspect and get it dirty as intended.
