SGC004 Heavy Weight Loopwheel Zip Hoodie Oatmeal
This heavyweight loopwheeled sweatshirt is a relatively newer offering for The Strike Gold, but despite that, they have knocked both the fabric and the cut out of the park on their first go. Featuring a proprietary heavyweight loopwheeled cotton fleece woven by Kanekichi in Wakayama, Japan (one of only two remaining loopwheel fabric workshops in the world!) for The Strike Gold with a triple-brushed interior - due to the fleece being built to The Strike Gold's vintage specifications, the fabric has a lot of volume and plush. As the fleece is woven on vintage loopwheel machines, the fabric is woven with a zero-tension weave that grants superior handfeel and softness over modern methods and has no side seams for an improved fit over time. They are also slightly tighter in weave than the average Japanese loopwheeled fleece for warmth and windbreaking purposes. Available in Grey, Black, and Oatmeal.
This is the ultimate zip hoodie for those that seek out traditional high quality fabric and the vintage detailing that often comes with - in both respects, Strike Gold is at the top of their field. The fabric is sturdy and durable on the exterior, with a brushed inner face for a super soft fluffy handfeel for ideal comfort and a long lifespan. The piece is cut with a slightly shorter body, as sweatshirts and tees traditionally were made back in day, producing a more attractive, vintage silhouette where the garments sits around the waist instead of hanging down like longer, modern garments tend to. Finished with a custom vintage Waldes zip, sewn-in vintage-styled neck label, thick piped hood, ribbed cuffs and waistband, thick tied off cotton drawstrings, and vintage square patch pockets, all sewn up with super-durable four-needle flatlock seams.
