Dawson Shirt Black/Petrol/Rust Selvedge Flannel
Indigofera's Dawson shirt is the cream of their flannel crop, year after year. These shirts are cut and sewn from a proprietary Japanese selvedge flannel woven specifically for Indigofera on vintage shuttle looms by Nihon Menpu Mills. Due to the traditional nature of the shuttle looms, they weave the fabric at a much slower, more organic rate. While this does require the constant oversight of a skilled loom operator, many of whom have specialized in these machines for decades, the technique results in a truly wonderful fabric.
As far as flannel goes, the Dawsons have more texture, and definitely more nep, than any other shirt we have experience with. Easily one of the most outstanding flannel fabrics to grace the shop, the fabric is mesmerizing and the texture is unmatched. To keep up with the over-the-top quality, the Dawson shirt is finished with proprietary black pearl snaps that are equally as mesmerizing as the flannel pattern, ultra-soft black corduroy trim in the cuffs, collar, and pocket flaps, and is sewn up with western yokes on the shoulders and back panel with the selvedge on the interior placket.
