Service Boot 2030 C.F Stead Tobacco Phoenix

by Viberg
$800.00 USD

All our Viberg Service Boots are on a single E width, we suggest sizing down one full size from your standard sneaker size. Consider a half size down if you have wide feet.

Viberg's Service Boot is directly based on their original model, first produced in 1931. A similar pattern was also used by multiple nations as a standard issue military boot during WWII, however Viberg's quintessential Service Boot is modeled after the Canadian military's WWII Service Boot pattern.

C. F. Stead have quickly established themselves as one of our top choices for waxy bovine leathers alongside the suedes and roughouts that we would consider their bread and butter, and this Tobacco Phoenix is no exception. Like all of the tannery's offerings, Phoenix is an environmentally conscious veg-tan, completely tanned without any chrome or chemicals.

Instead, the tannery absolutely pumps this thick bovine hide full of rich oils and waxes, granting it a ridiculously pleasing range of deep warm brown tones throughout the upper, while on the functional spectrum the same oils and waxes simultaneously provide the hide with excellent durability and waterproofing. This is one of Stead's toughest and longest lasting leathers - perfect for getting you through any season here in Canada with minimal attention, but is also supremely wearable in other climates and indoor settings, no question. The 2030 Service Boot is about as versatile as it gets.
