The Return of the Stitchdown Thunderdome!

Stitchdown’s Patina Thunderdome is back again for 2023/2024! For those not in the know, the Thunderdome is the pinnacle of well-worn footwear and heavily patinaed leathers within the tight-knit niche community that has developed around the well-loved heritage bootmakers we all love. For boot lovers such as ourselves, not only is the Thunderdome a perfect opportunity to see and enjoy the patina potential as the community ages their boots, but also provides a very real chance to earn incredible prizes of your own, simply for wearing your boots and taking some photos!

This year’s dome has already begun, but there are still a few days left to enter! The Final Thunderdome Registration will be open from November 1st-5th, for those who missed the October entry. Simply download the Patina Project app, register between the 1st-5th of November with the secret code, and submit photos of your new, unworn boots! 

As always, the prizes are outstanding! With over $35,000 of possible prizes, you can ensure you have a very real possibility of winning something incredible. The Open Dome Grand Prize is truly world-class, featuring a trip to Tokyo, and a pair of Clinch Boots, from the Brass Tokyo workshop. Last but not least, we are once again sponsoring the Dome with two of our own prizes! For one of the Open Dome Top Finishers we have a pair of Viberg Boots from our own stock, as well as a pair of Vibergs for the Exceptional Brooklyn Clothing Pair, going to the best patinaed pair of boots purchased from our shop.
